Dispensation of Promise

Dispensation of Promise – 1

God watched another 10 generation from Noah to Abraham, People again failed to do the will of God. People became idolatrous and God planned to move his servant Abraham out of that generation to establish a new generation.

God said to Abraham leave your country and your people and go to the land I will show, this commandment was very difficult to follow as he had a great tradition to leave behind, Noah died at the age of 950 when Abraham was 60 years old. He had a rich tradition and orthodox culture to leave behind, but Abraham decided to take a strong stand for God when he heard HIS voice.

Abraham with Sarah, father Terah and Lot his brother’s son left Mesopotamia and reached Haran. While staying in Haran God again appeared to Abraham and said to “Leave your country and people and your fathers household and go to the land I will show you”. He left his father and all the belongings; it is believed that might be his relative may have also migrated to Haran, God wanted to live all his households to another place that Abraham didn’t have any clue.

Sarah was barren, Abraham was old, Gods promise of a son, Above all Abraham’s faith that said yes it can happen and it did happen. Isaac was born, the days of Joy came in the house of Abraham, but God still needs Abraham to move to the next level, he asks Abraham to sacrifice his only son. Abraham completely believed God and obeyed him and believed that God had the power to do what he had promised. It was faith that stood the test. It was Abraham’s faith that looked beyond the impossible.  Abraham died at the age of 175 when his son was 75 and his grandson Jacob 15.

Is your spiritual ears tuned to listen to the voice of the Lord. How can you listen to his voice?  The more time you spend on your knees to talk to the Lord, the more you will hear him, Once you start tasting the Lord, the more faith in HIM will grow and you will surly see the promise of God in your life. The age that you go through, get so many fake promises which will entice you to fall for it. When all promises fail, the one who is the creator of the universe and of course you, will never fail you, he is faithful to keep his promises. He promised Abraham and Abraham saw his promises come by and the key thing was he trusted God and walked in HIS way when all odds surrounded him. Being faithful during odds explains who you are rather being faithful when your surrounding supports you.

Dispensation of Promise – 2

Isaac was forty when he took Rebeca as his wife; at the age of 60 Isaac had twins Esau and Jacob. Esau married two Hittite women which became grief to his parents. Jacob was sent to Laban his uncle. He married his uncle’s daughters Leah and Rachel on condition that he will serve Laban 14 years. In total he served 20 years and left Laban’s house. On his journey back he encountered with the angel and won the encounter. Angel said to him “Your name will no longer be Jacob but Israel”. Twelve tribes of Israel was named after the twelve sons of Jacob. Jacob lived in Canaan with his twelve sons and their families. When Joseph was 17 years old his brother sold him to Egypt. He was put in prison for no fault, but God was with him and raised him the be the prime minister of Egypt. We know the account that though things were against Joseph but it was Gods providence to keep Jacob and his children escape the great famine. We see that from the time of promise till the time of Exodus from Egypt it was 430 years.

If there is trial and tribulations that you are going through then there is providence and deliverance planned by God to make you come through victoriously.

When pharaoh’s decree went against all the male child, God deliverance was from the same place at the kings expense. Israelites had no opportunity for education; Moses was educated in all the wisdom of Egypt in royal manner. To shepherd Israelites to come out of Egypt , God led Moses to Midian.

Dispensation of Promise – 3

Israelites were in Egypt. God saw their affliction.  God remembered His promise again and decided to deliver His people from Egypt. He sent Moses and Aaron to king Pharaoh. He sent ten plague and finally he sent his people, but still followed them to die in the river bed of Red sea.

Pharaoh tried all his best to stop Israelites, he said to have sacrifice in the land of Egypt, asked them to leave the flocks and belongings in Egypt, but Moses didn’t compromise but said “not a hoof is to be left behind”

We see an uncompromised Moses on the way to achieve the promise of the Lord.

Are you compromising with the world? Not even a hoof of yours should compromise. Do what HE says to do. Moses did what God said to do. Ten times he had to stand before the court of the King without fear. Remember the one who had promised you, He will be with you till the very end and will make sure that you and all your belonging will come out of Egypt to see the land of promise.

MV Romans 8:38-39

38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
