The earth was looking great. It was restored from its disordered (Chaotic) state to original (primeval) glory. The land was fertile, hills ,valleys and plains were covered with flocks and herds of sheep and cattle. The air was fully alive; fragrance of fruits and flowers splendid the air, fresh water streams flowed with all its richness and fertilized all the land that came by on its way. It was looking gorgeous. In addition to that God planted a beautiful garden. Sometimes I imagine how beautiful that garden would have been by imagining who planted it, the one who created the glorious earth, the creatures, flowers, every species, decided to plant a garden. And then he created Adam and Eve, gave their innocence a chance to be tested, but here both failed, they went against their conscience and took the path on not being right with God and thus the curse upon them and the earth.
Adam and Eve started living on the cursed earth (The Antediluvian Earth). The scene changed for Adam and Eve, The fruits they were given to eat freely TO eat the plants of the field, the free gift available around them TO eat by sweat, the long living TO dust you are and you will return to dust. Though Adam had to work in the Garden of Eden to take care but his sustenance was not the cultivation.
Gods plan was for them to step up from the state of innocence into a righteous holy state but Satan’s scheme was to upset the original plan of God. There is a general misconception that birth was a subsequent to sin, but it must be noted that the original plan of God was to fill the earth through the process of procreation. (Gen 1:28). God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.“
God always has a plan in each dispensation period to recover its people from the disobedience; the loving God prepared the way for salvation through Messiah and pronounced the promise of the saviour in the seed of the woman. Gen 3:15. Satan even mistakenly thought it might be Abel the son of Adam who is the promised seed of man and murdered him.
We may be in a situation where your conscience is put out to test and being child of God make sure that you don’t stand against the conscience. In some situation you may be confused what to choose but the best place is to be on your knees and talking to the Almighty who need your company every day every moment of life. Yes we are living in the cursed world; we may even question why we are suffering because of Adam and Eve. The Good news is we have a way of Grace shown on the cross of Calvary. You will never be under curse. There is an escape to eternity. Again it is personal. You have to get the experience of salvation personally no more you can blame Adam or Eve. God is going to ask you, you personally what have you done. Let us eagerly strive and enjoy hearing that beautiful voice of our Lord “COME MY FAITHFUL SERVANT”.
MV Romans 2:14 -15
(Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.)
