As generations passed the fallen earth became contagious with wickedness and sinfulness by the instigation of Satan. In the midst of these Enoch lived godly life and he predicted Gods judgment that was going to come on earth. He named his son Methuselah meaning “after him flood”. The patience of God couldn’t stand anymore and used Enoch and Noah to warn the people. Hebrew chapter 11 says about Enoch and Noah. By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.”[a] For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. 6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.7 By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.
Sometimes it is amazing to think about the faith they had, till then they have not seen any rain but they were preaching about the rain and flood. Noah builds the ark exactly how God commanded him to do and preached about it. The present generation too is in the similar situation. God has spoken through generation after generations but still people don’t heed to the servants of God and still they are rebellious to the voice of God. Let us be not like that, let us give our ears and thoughts to the voice of God and obey and surrender to His will, if not then we are travelling towards the judgement of God. The Dispensation of Conscience moved to its last stage. God wanted to destroy the earth and clean it once again. Noah and his family entered the Ark, forty days and nights it rained. Water flooded the earth 150 days, the ark rested on Mount Ararat. Total time spent in the Ark was 1 year and 17 days.
How sad and pathetic was the situation of the people where they saw it coming didn’t obey and they were in it and couldn’t find a way out. 2 Corinthians 6:2 says In the time of my favor I heard you,
and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation
MV Ecclesiastes 11:9 – Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou that for all these [things] God will bring thee into judgment.
